The Berwick Museum “Fussball” game – once to be found on the prom at Spittal - was made in 1930s Germany. An especial favourite of young visitors, it has often been pronounced a big improvement on modern examples, as the footballers can swivel from side to side as well as back and forward. Mind you, inflation has meant that the original charge of 3d has gone up to 20p!
