Pedigrees also known as family trees are drawn up to show the relationship between people. They give information about when people were born, married and died. Normally you would start with yourself and work backwards through generations of parents/grandparents and great grandparents etc. They can become very big and difficult to follow but it’s helpful to see how everyone fits in visually.
